Dear Gordon R Dickson Fund supporters,

     Thank you so much for awarding me the Gordon R Dickson
Scholarship to Clarion West.  I have often spoken of the
generosity of the science fiction community and its willingness
to support new writers, and it is incredibly encouraging to
receive that support myself.  The scholarship is not only a
significant source of funding for me to attend this great workshop,
it is also a sign that my community believes in me.  You've made
it possible for me to have this wonderful experience, and I will
do my best to pass this generosity on to the next generation
of new writers.
