Please forgive the delay in sending this letter.  Family problems derailed me somewhat
this spring.

We thought you would like to know that we have selected Tom Rodgers of
Arlington, Texas to be the sixth recipient of the Gordon R. Dickson Scholarship for
Clarion West. Tom is a freelance writer who left NASA to work on a screenplay.  He
also competes in Ironman triathlons and is the author of "The Perfect Distance:
Triathlete's Guide to Long-Course Training".  Our readers rated him as one of our top
applicants for this year.

We are so very pleased that you are offering scholarship money for a student
attending the Clarion West workshop.  Thank you once again for your support of our
program and our students.
