Dear Mr. Gellman,

As the recipent of the Gordon R. Dickson Memorial Scholarship for 2006 I
would like to offer my deepest gratitude to you and the SF fans of
Minnesota who donated money to the fund.

Mr. Dickson had an illustrious and inspiring career, and I understand he
was very supportive of new talent. The scholarship is a wonderful tribute
to a respected science fiction author, as well as a practical way to
support emerging writers.

It is an honour to receive the award.

Since I live in Ireland there are extra expenses involved with my travel to
Seattle to attend Clarion West. The scholarship will lessen my financial
burdern and allow me to concentrate on maximising my experience at the
workshop with the extra stress of monetary concerns.
